BITSAT Entrance Test 2018

BITSAT entrance test is conducted every year to get the admission in BITS Pilani. The BITSAT 2018 admission test will be held online in May 2018.

The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani is an all India Institution. Admissions to all the Integrated First Degree Programmes of BITS, Pilani, at Pilani campus, Goa campus, and Hyderabad Campus for the academic year 2018-19 will be made on the basis of a Computer based Online Test conducted by BITS, Pilani. This test will be referred to as BITS Admission Test or BITSAT-2018.

Eligibility Criteria

For admission to all the above programmes except B.Pharm. (Hons.): The Candidates should have passed the 10+2 examination from a recognized State or central board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Math and adequate proficiency in English.

For admission to B.Pharm. (Hons.): The candidates should have passed the 10+2 examination from Govt. recognized state boards with equivalent subjects Physics, Chemistry and Math. Proficiency in English is required. However, the candidates with PCM subjects may also apply for Pharmacy program.

BITSAT 2018 Exam Pattern

The total duration of BITSAT 2018 is 3 hours (without any break). This exam consists of 4 parts:

NOTE: There are objective type questions (multiple choice questions). There are 4 choices of answers for each question. The correct answer will have 3 marks while the incorrect answer has minus marking (-1 mark). There are no marks for the questions which are not attempted. When a candidate skips a question, the online computer test will not allow the candidates to select more than one options as a correct answer. There are total 150 questions in all.

BITSAT Exam Centres 2018

BITS Pilani will conduct BITSAT 2018 in around 50 cities in India and abroad. Candidates have to choose three BITSAT exam cities in order of their preference while filling the application form. At the time of selecting the exam city, candidates must be very careful as once allotted it cannot be changed under any circumstances. BITSAT exam centre allotted to the candidates can be checked online in March 21, 2018.

BITSAT Slot Booking 2018

As BITSAT 2018 will be held in multiple days, test takers have to book the exam date and time as per their convenience. Each day the exam will be conducted in two slots. The first slot will be from 9:00 am till 12:00 pm and the second slot will be from 2:00 pm till 5:00 pm. BITSAT slot booking will be done online on a first-come-first-served basis.

BITSAT Admit Card 2018

The admit card of BITSAT will be issued by BITS, Pilani from April 12 to May 10, 2018. BITSAT hall ticket will be available online and candidates can download it through their application number, gender, date of birth and Email Id. BITSAT 2018 admit card will bear details such as candidates name, roll number, exam date, venue, slot etc. Test takers must ensure to take a print out of BITSAT hall ticket 2018 and carry it along with them to the exam centre.

BITSAT Syllabus 2018

The syllabus of BITSAT 2018 consists topics from the four different sections prescribed for the test. BITSAT test will be conducted on the basis of NCERT syllabus for class 11 and 12. Candidates appearing for BITSAT must have complete knowledge about the syllabus and cover it thoroughly to secure good marks in the online admission test. The syllabus of BITSAT will help candidates to prepare well for the examination.

JEE Advanced Exam 2018

Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) or JEE Advanced 2018 is a national level examination scheduled to be held on May 20 administered by IIT Kanpur for admission to engineering programmes in the 23 IITs. JEE Advanced consists of two compulsory papers- paper 1 and paper 2. Paper 1 will be conducted from 9 am to 12 pm and paper 2 will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm. For the first time, JEE Advanced 2018 will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. The application form of JEE Advanced will be available to be filled online from May 2 to 7, 2018. Both the papers will have objective type questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. IIT Kanpur had released the mock test of JEE Advanced on December 19 to make aspirants familiar with CBT mode of examination. JEE Advanced is conducted by the 7 zonal IITs under the guidance of Joint Admission Board (JAB).

JEE Advanced Eligibility Criteria 2018

The eligibility criteria of JEE Advanced 2018 states the norms that candidates must fulfill to appear in JEE Advanced. JEE Advanced eligibility criteria include age requirement, academic qualification, total attempts among others. Candidates can check JEE Advanced eligibility criteria 2018 below:

Performance in JEE Advanced 2018- Only the top 2,24,000 JEE Main rank holders are eligible to appear in JEE Advanced.

Age requirement- Candidates must be born on or after October 1, 1993. For candidates belonging to SC, ST and PwD candidates there is a relaxation of 5 years, i,e, they must be born on or after October 1, 1988.

Academic qualification- Candidates must have passed class 12 or equivalent examination at the first go in 2017 or 2018. They must have secured 75% (65% for reserved categories) in the qualifying examination. They also must be within the top 20 percentile of successful candidates in their respective board examination.

Number of attempts- The maximum number of attempts that a candidate can avail is two times in consecutive years.

Earlier admission at IITs- Candidates who accepted seats or admitted in an IIT irrespective of whether they have continued in the programme are not eligible for the entrance test.

JEE Advanced Admit Card 2018

JEE Advanced admit card will be issued to all registered candidates on May 14, 2018. JEE Advanced admit card 2018 will be released online and to download it candidates have to enter their registration number, date of birth, mobile number and email ID on the login page. Candidates have to take a print out of JEE Advanced 2018 admit card and take it along with them to the exam centre.

JEE Advanced Exam Pattern 2018

JEE Advanced was held in pen and paper (P&P) based mode. The medium of the paper will be both in English and Hindi and candidates will be able to switch between the two languages any time during the examination if required. Some aspects of JEE Advanced question paper such as number of papers, subjects, question type, language medium and duration are announced before the examination. JEE Advanced Syllabus 2018

The syllabus of JEE advanced 2018 list out for the examination. JEE Advanced syllabus comprises topics from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Candidates must cover the entire syllabus to score well in the examination.


JEE Main is an engineering entrance test conducted by CBSE. JEE Main consists of two examinations. Paper I is for the admission to undergraduate programs (B.E/B.Tech) in NITs, IIITs & GFTIs. Paper II is an architecture entrance exam for B.Arch./B.Planning in these institutes. The computer-based test of JEE Main paper 1 will be held on April 15 and 16, 2018. The JEE Main 2018 exam will be conducted on 8th of April 2018 in the offline pen-paper mode. JEE Main 2018 application form will be released by CBSE from 1st december 2017.
