SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination 2018

SRMJEEE 2018: Sri Ramaswami Memorial University (SRM) will conduct the SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination – SRMJEEE 2018 online for approximately 7000 B.Tech seats. The entrance test will be held from April 16 to 30, 2018 at around 116 cities in India and 6 cities abroad. The application form of SRMJEE 2018 started on November 1, 2017 and can be filled online until March 31, 2018. Candidates who wish to pursue B.Tech/B.Arch from SRM University campuses at Kattankulathur, Ramapuram, Vadapalani, Amaravati and Delhi NCR have to register for the exam. Candidates who have passed class XII or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are eligible to apply for SRMJEEE. While filling the SRMJEEE 2018 application form candidates have to select the B.Tech programmes and campus for pursuing it along with other details like personal and academic qualification.

SRMJEEE Eligibility Criteria 2018

SRM University has set certain eligibility criteria which aspirants have to fulfill before applying for SRMJEEE 2018. As mentioned above, candidates applying for SRMJEEE 2018 have to satisfy the SRMJEEE eligibility criteria as prescribed by the SRM University. Check eligibility criteria of SRMJEEE below:

Nationality: Candidates belonging to India or abroad can apply for the examination

Age requirements:The birth date of the candidates must fall between July 1, 1997, to July 1, 2002.

Qualifying examination: To be eligible for SRMJEEE 2018, applicants must have completed or are appearing in the final examination of XII standard from CBSE, New Delhi/ ICSE, New Delhi/ State Board, Council or institution recognised by COBSE or any other concerned head. Candidates must have passed class XII standards or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics/Biology as core subjects.

Direct admission: To receive direct admission in Kattankulathur, Ramapuram, or Vadapalani campus, candidates should have scored 60% in 10+2. However, for Delhi-NCR campus is 55%. Toppers in central and state board, top 1000 JEE Main rank holders, toppers in each district of Tamil Nadu, and excellent sports students who have performed at National and the International level will be granted direct admission.

GATE Exam 2018

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2018 was conducted by IIT Guwahati on February 3, 4, 10 and 11 across 199 exam cities in India and 6 cities abroad which includes Abu Dhabi/Dubai (UAE), Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), Colombo (Sri Lanka), Dhaka (Bangladesh), Kathmandu (Nepal), Singapore. GATE 2018 result has been announced on March 16. GATE 2018 answer key and question papers for all 23 papers have been released online on February 19. Candidates will be able to challenge the answer key between February 21 and 23. GATE 2018 response sheet has also been made available from February 14. The final answer key of GATE 2018 will be released in the second week of March 2018. GATE score card will be available from March 20 to May 31, 2018. The scorecard will be valid for a period of 3 years for M.Tech admissions only from the date of announcement of the GATE result. As per the schedule, the entrance test was conducted in two sessions – morning session was held from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and forenoon session was conducted from 2 pm to 5 pm.

What’s New in GATE 2018?

There are 6 new exam centres/towns of India added to the list of GATE exam centres 2018.

According to the brochure for GATE 2018, the candidates are not required to upload their left-hand thumb impression while filling the GATE online application form.

The result has been announced on March 16. But GATE 2018 scorecard will be available for download from March 20 to May 31, 2018.

For the academic year 2018- 19, GATE 2018 will be held across 199 cities in India and 6 cities in foreign countries.

Lovely Professional University National Eligibility and Scholarship Test

The Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test (LPU NEST) is conducted by Lovely Professional University (LPU) for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes. LPU NEST is a computer-based examination to be conducted in different slots across 141 cities of India from April 10 to 30, 2018. The application form of LPU NEST 2018 was available in online as well as in offline mode. The last date to apply for LPU NEST was extended till March 1, 2018. The online slot booking system for LPU NEST 2018 has been made available from March 1, 2018. Applicants will be able to download the admit card of LPU NEST 2018 from March 1, 2018. In 2017, over 30, 000 candidates appeared for LPU NEST. Candidates appearing in the entrance test have to attempt questions from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English. The duration of the entrance examination is 150 minutes.

LPU NEST Eligibility Criteria 2018

Nationality: Candidate must be a citizen of India

Qualifying examination: Applicants must have completed or are appearing in the final examination of XII standard from CBSE, New Delhi/ ICSE, New Delhi/ State Board, Council or institution recognized by COBSE or any other concerned head

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed with 60% aggregate in XII standards or equivalent (with Physics, Mathematics and English). Applicants securing 90% or above in 10+2, will be exempted from LPU NEST as well as JEE Main 2018 and they may apply for admission directly.

MHT CET Exam 2018

Maharashtra Common Entrance Test

Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra will conduct MHT CET 2018 on May 10 for admission to UG engineering courses in nearly 360 participating institutes. Registration for MHT CET 2018 has started online from January 18. Last date to fill the application form of MHT CET 2018 is March 25, 2018. As per MHT CET eligibility criteria, Indian national candidates having cleared or appeared 10+2 or equivalent examination with 50% (45% for reserved category candidates) are eligible to appear for the exam. MHT CET 2018 is a pen and paper based test which comprises two compulsory papers- Paper I (Mathematics) and paper II (Physics and Chemistry). Questions in the entrance test will be based on class XI and XII syllabus prescribed by Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education and Higher Secondary Education. Apart from MHT CET 2018, admission will also be granted to All India candidature students based on JEE Main 2018 scores. MHT CET Eligibility Criteria 2018

DTE Maharashtra has laid down some norms that candidates need to fulfill to appear in MHT CET 2018. Check MHT CET eligibility criteria such as nationality and qualification requirements below:

Nationality- Candidates who are citizens of India are eligible for MHT CET 2018.

Academic qualification- Candidates must have passed class 12 or its equivalent examination with Mathematics and Physics as the main subjects along with Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Vocational subjects as optional subject.

Minimum qualifying marks- Candidates must secure at least 50% in the subjects taken together. The minimum qualifying marks for reserved category candidates is 45%.

Candidates planning to appear for the exam can fill MHT CET 2018 application form till March 25. VIT Engineering Entrance Exam 2018

VIT University will conduct VITEEE 2018 in three different slots from April 4 to 15, 2018, in across 124 cities of India and in abroad (Dubai, Kuwait and Muscat). The last date to fill and submit the application form of VITEEE 2018 is March 15. VITEEE 2018 application form was released on November 1, whereas the offline form was made available from November 9, 2017. The examination authority has released the official mock test of VITEEE 2018 on January 8, 2018. Aspirants can access VITEEE 2018 mock test by simply clicking on ‘sign in’.
